It all started when...

Began working in the fashion and beauty industry at the age of 17. Operating as a freelancer based in Milan, his work for publications such as Lei and Per Lui then under the creative directorship of Franca Sozzani provided him with an opportunity to collaborate with  Koto Bolofo that gave him his first assignment.

Born in Italy In 1966, Laera’s interest in photography began when working alongside Helmut Newton, becoming the youngest memberof his team at 20 years old.

Upon moving to New York City in 1989 Laera collaborated on projects with  Albert Watson, Irving Penn, Brigitte Lacombe , Bert Stern,Deborah Tubervillle and Annie Leibovitz.When he returned to Europe, in 2006 he started working as a Photographer concentrating on portrait, theater and documentary.

Today his sense of composition and light gives his work a certain elegance that shows the influence of the photographers he has collaborated with. 

Laera has worked on numerous editorials and has participated in a number of group and solo exhibitions. Vincenzo lives in Berlin.
